Léa Peckre won the Fashion Design prize at 26th Hyères Festival. The members of the jury, among them Carla Sozzani and Raf Simons, opted for this young french fashion designer yesterday evening after the ten finalists show, at Les Salins de Pesquiers, in La Cave district.

Peckre's collection, titled  Cemeteries are fields of flowers, draws inspiration from cemetery world, for the mystery about it and not for the sake of grisly.

Fashion Talent | Miriam Schaaf

I am always looking for german designers and, I must say, I get always real gratification from Munich. It's definitely an avant-garde city, churning out cutting-edge talents as Miriam Schaaf, a designer to watch. With her new futuristic masculine / unisex collection "You're A Woman - I'm A Machine", Schaaf recreates the dark-cyborg spirit, telling us a dream: an Android falls in love with a Prima Ballerina, a romantic version of the film Terminator.

You can also watch the collection fashion movie on Vimeo here.

The collection stages materials as wool, viscose, cotton and polyurethane in a few basic colors: white, black, pink and gray. And just like robots, the german designer's items can be disassembled, like interchangeable artificial limbs, making endless combinations possible.

(La collezione mette in scena materiali come lana, viscosa, cotone e poliuretano in pochi colori basici: bianco, nero, rosa e grigio.
